Suspect Arrested In Mattapan Tripple Shooting

Boston Police on Monday made an arrest in connection with a Mattapan tripple shooting.

Anthony Davis, 37, of Mattapan was arrested on weapons charges but has not been charged with killing Eleanor Maloney.

On Saturday just before 5 PM, officers responded to 10 Mattapan St. for a report of a shooting. When officers first arrived they found Eleanor Maloney shot and she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Two males were also found shot and were taken to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries to be treated.

Davis who was not arraigned Monday because he is in the hospital, has been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm; unlawful possession of a firearm, fourth offense; and armed career criminal Level 1.

In 2005 Davis was acquitted of murder, in 2009 he was sentenced to three years in prison in a gun case and in 2013 was sentenced to six years in prison in a gun case.

Eleanor Maloney was 74 and a retired OR Tech who worked at Boston Medical Center.
