2 Men Arrested In Quincy After Brutal Attack On A Pregnant Women

In Quincy two men were arrested earlier during the week for visiously attacking a pregnant woman.

The woman who was walking with her boyfriend in the area of the post office on 47 Washington St. on Tuesday was feeling sick and began to throw up outside the post office.

The two men identified as Tyrese D. Johnson-Nurse, 19, and David D. Russell, 18 saw the woman throwing up and began laughing at her, spit on her and started punching her in the head. The woman told police that Russell had kicked her in the stomach and said, “I hope he dies.”

Both men fled the area however were later apprehended at a nearby store and arrested. Police charged both men with aggravated assault and battery on a pregnant woman and assault and battery.

Russell who was also charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, was released by Judge Mark Coven on a GPS monitoring device.

Johnson-Nurse is still in custody after his bail in a pending armed robbery case in Suffolk Superior Court was revoked.

December 17, 2017 Johnson-Nurse allegedly assaulted a male victim with the butt of a gun. Boston Police arrested Johnson-Nurse and charged him with Attempted Armed Robbery and Assault & Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (Firearm). During a field investigation police were able to recover a loaded Hi-Point 380 semi-automatic pistol and Johnson-Nurse was additionally charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Unlawfully Carrying a Loaded Firearm, and Improper Storage of a Firearm.

“This is two guys involved in a very brutal incident,” Judge Coven said at the arraingment of Johnson-Nurse and Russell.”
